Outdoor education influences young people’s preparedness for their future by building and harnessing vital skills to ensure they are real world ready. Students need to be engaged in designed learning to prepare them with skills such as collaboration, communication, critical thinking and creativity.

 

As the Client & Program Manager VIC, you will be the senior manager in the Victorian Clients and Delivery Team and will work proactively with a suite of client schools.

Salary range: $65k-75k, dependent on experience.

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a member of The Outdoor Education Group Outdoor Education Division and a direct report to the Manager Clients & Delivery Victoria, you:

  • Take responsibility in the scope of your role for the performance, reputation and growth of The Outdoor Education Group.
  • Work collaboratively with your colleagues to manage and support day to day activities.
  • Role model passion for the benefits of outdoor education for the development of young Australians.
  • Role model The Outdoor Education Group values of respect and taking responsibility for self, others and the natural world.
  • Support the implementation of key strategies and actions that support the achievement of The Outdoor Education Group’s strategic vision and objectives.
  • Participate in and support the overall work of The Outdoor Education Group.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Client & Program Manager VIC, you:

  • Liaise with client schools to ensure on-ground delivery consistently meets expected delivery agreements
  • Implement real time changes (within program design framework and budget) required to meet program outcomes
  • Work with the client and as part of a delivery team to provide excellent program delivery through rigorous planning
  • Champion with the team and clients the significant magnificence of the cultural context and environment in which OEG work
  • Provide inspirational leadership to the team to inspire them to delivery exceptional program delivery
  • Proactively lead and drive your own development with your direct manager.

KEY CRITERIA

To The Outdoor Education Group you bring the following:

  • Demonstrated experience in client relationships and contract management
  • Demonstrated experience in overseeing programs of outdoor education, particularly working in a shared delivery model with indigenous or culturally diverse communities
  • Demonstrated communication skills, both interpersonal and written and the ability to provide high level customer service
  • Demonstrated experience in people management, budget management and roster management
  • A collaborative working style, ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate a proactive approach to engaging internal and external stakeholders
  • Displays flexibility and responsiveness and has the initiative, attitude and ability to thrive within a dynamic, challenging and changing environment.
