WHAT YOU DO AND ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a member of The Outdoor Education Group Outdoor Education Division and a direct report to the Catering Coordinator, you:

Take responsibility in the scope of your role for the performance, reputation and growth of The Outdoor Education Group.
Work collaboratively with your colleagues to manage and support day to day activities.
Role model passion for the benefits of outdoor education for the development of young Australians.
Role model The Outdoor Education Group values of respect and taking responsibility for self, others and the natural world.
Support the implementation of key strategies and actions that support the achievement of The Outdoor Education Group’s strategic vision and objectives.
Participate in and support the overall work of The Outdoor Education Group.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Cook or Kitchenhand, you:

Comply with statutory and camp regulations including Workplace Health and Safety (WHS/OH&S Acts) and safe food handling practices.
Follow the directions of the Catering Coordinator and related recipes to maintain the required quantity and quality of food delivery to clients.
Provide a high level of customer service to clients at all times.
Ensure that the management of dietary/allergy processes is adhered to and practices are followed.
Having a clear understanding of individual client requirements and nuances while maintaining day to day activities and a professional approach.
Proactively support new processes and structures to further support our service delivery.
Work alongside and support the Catering and Risk & Quality Assurance team when required.

KEY CRITERIA

To The Outdoor Education Group you bring the following:

Previous catering experience or a passion to learn (Kitchenhands)
Previous supervisory experience and can support other members of a team (Cooks)
Experience and/or qualifications in Food Safety and awareness of sound OHS practices
Ability to follow instruction and work independently when required
Good communication and attention to detail
Available to work a flexible roster
