Students need to be engaged in designed learning to prepare them with skills such as collaboration, communication, critical thinking and creativity.

As the Business Development Manager (NSW), you will be responsible for meeting our customer acquisition and revenue growth targets in our New South Wales market. You will provide strategic and operational leadership to develop, support and implement acquisition strategies in this market, driving revenue, profit and brand awareness for The Outdoor Education Group.

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a member of The Outdoor Education Group Brand & New Business Division and a direct report to the Executive Director Brand & New Business, you:

Take responsibility in the scope of your role for the performance, reputation and growth of The Outdoor Education Group.
Work collaboratively with your colleagues to manage and support day to day activities.
Role model passion for the benefits of outdoor education for the development of young Australians.
Role model The Outdoor Education Group values of respect and taking responsibility for self, others and the natural world.
Support the implementation of key strategies and actions that support the achievement of The Outdoor Education Group’s strategic vision and objectives.
Participate in and support the overall work of The Outdoor Education Group.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Business Development Manager NSW, you:

Take responsibility for the performance, reputation and growth of The Outdoor Education Group in your territory
Achieve profitability targets for your territory
Meet revenue targets through good quality lead development and conversion
Drive your own individual development to help continuously build your knowledge, skills, and abilities
Plan and implement key sales and retention strategies and actions to support the achievement of The Outdoor Education Group’s strategic vision and objectives
Contribute to the success of cultural change through promoting and modelling the values and connection to the purpose
Follow safe work procedures and instructions

KEY CRITERIA

To The Outdoor Education Group you bring the following:

A thorough understanding of best practice sales strategies and demonstrable history of achieving revenue targets
Extensive experience embedding best-practice sales and retention practices in B2B relationships
Solid contacts within the school network and a high level of comfort working in a large territory
The ability to work collaboratively across department functionalities
An achievement orientation, a commercial bent and tactical nous
Proficiency in CRM platforms i.e. HubSpot
