As an Administration Assistant (Camps) you will support the administration at one of the residential campsites that aid The Outdoor Education Group to realise the potential to make outdoor learning accessible to more young people.

You will be a point of contact for the campsite and manage information relating to user groups. 

 

You will provide administrative support to the Site Manager and Catering Coordinator to ensure smooth centre operation before, during and after programs.

This is a part time (25 hours per week) role based at Camp Marysville.

 

Salary range: $30, 137- $33, 587, dependent on experience.

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a member of The Outdoor Education Group Outdoor Learning Division and a direct report to the Site Manager, you will:

  • Take responsibility in the scope of your role for the performance, reputation and growth of The Outdoor Education Group.
  • Work collaboratively with your colleagues to manage and support day to day activities.
  • Role model passion for the benefits of outdoor education for the development of young Australians
  •  Support the implementation of key strategies and actions that support the achievement of The Outdoor Education Group’s strategic vision and objectives
  • Participate in and support the overall work of The Outdoor Education Group.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

As an Administration Assistant (Camps) your responsibilities will include:

  • Be a point of contact for the campsite and manage information relating to user groups.
  • Provide high quality administrative support to existing clients to retain and grow business.
  • Provide administrative support to the Site Manager and Catering Coordinator to ensure smooth centre operation before, during and after programs.
  • Support and assist with administration around facility management and maintenance.
  • Proactively look for and support new processes and structures to further support our service delivery.
  • Process administrative paperwork and other duties as required.

KEY CRITERIA

  • A passion for Outdoor Education and the benefit it brings to young Australians.
  • Proven experience in an administrative / office manager role.
  • Highly proficient computer skills, including MS Office, basic HTML and CRM systems.
  • Ability to understand client requests, organisational capacity and make alternate suggestions, ensuring decision making is referenced to the organisation’s business plan.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally to deliver the best possible service for The Outdoor Education Group.
  • Available to work a flexible roster which will include working weekends, being on call and travel interstate may be required.
  • Customer focused and a proven track record of customer satisfaction.
  • Familiar with monthly reporting and driven to achieve KPI’s.
  • An appreciation for the nuances of the not for profit sector and the relative position of The Outdoor Education Group.
